Meet the face
behind Florence Revival

Hi, my name is Katie and I am the face behind Florence Revival, a DIY and Lifestyle Brand. I am a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who has dreamt of renovating a home for as long as I can remember. But being a student for FOREVER, my husband and I had only ever rented and were constantly relocating for school. So I became an HGTV addict and lived vicariously through creators on Instagram.

Fast forward to when we purchased our first home. We had tons of renovations to get done and I had no idea what I was doing, but I wanted to dive in headfirst. What better time to start sharing my journey with others than right then! So, not knowing what the heck I was doing, I started my Instagram page, Florence Revival. And now here we are 2 years later with a community of followers bigger than I could have ever imagined.

I am originally from South Arkansas but now live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jared, the other half of FR, is a Southern California Native who relocated to Oklahoma for college (much like me.) We have grown to love Tulsa and the community we have built around us. Most think this is just "fly over" country, but we call it a hidden gem.

Together we're tackling renovations on our first home, a 1929 Tudor Revival, in the heart of Tulsa. We have had so many ups and downs with renovations, but so many stretching moments that have taught us more than we could have ever imagined.

Being on social media has been both rewarding and challenging. I've not only grown in home renovation skills and an eye for design, but I've gained a community of friends that I wouldn't trade for the world.  After a couple of years of being on Instagram, I knew it was finally time to start this blog as a way of creating a permanent home for my projects and life experiences.

Our main purpose for Florence Revival is to empower you to tackle whatever dream you have in life, whether it's painting your wood floors against popular opinion or going after that dream job. The lessons of perseverance and capability don't stop with home renovations. They are life lessons that we hope to pass along to you.
